Byker Community Rowing Club

This website will act as the development site for Byker Rowing Club.

Club meetings are at 6pm on the first Thursday of each month Byker ASDA, Community room

-ask for directions at the customer desk.

Training

We expect to be training with Byker Belle on the following dates:

11th April
16th May
30th May
13th June
27th June
11th July
25th July

We have concentrated on a Thursday evening to begin with, and the dates are chosen for high tide at Newcastle in the hours after work.

Just Curious?

Prospective members or those just curious can turn up at 17.30. Check this site for the exact location on the Tyne at Byker.

If you are keen to give it a go turn up with:

trainers that don't mind getting wet
a windproof and waterproof jacket

If you have a lifejacket bring it, but if not the club has some.

Prospective rowers should be able to swim 50 metres.
